A year after Chicago and a year before London, it seems our community is desperate to have an event in between the bi-annual D&E conferences.
In memoriam - Kees Overbeeke (1952-2011)
Today we heard the sad news that Prof. Kees Overbeeke passed away unexpectedly this weekend. Kees was a key scientist in the 'experience design' community and one of the founding fathers of the Design & Emotion Society.
IDE Alumni drinks: Design & Experience book launch
Jan. 27th, Delft, The Netherlands - In this seminar, several speakers will discuss 'experience-driven design' from both a research and a practice perspective. In addition, this seminar celebrates the publication of the book "From Floating Wheelchairs to Mobile Car Parks; a collection of 35 experience-driven design projects". The book presents 35 IDE graduation projects in which user experience played a central role (for more information about the book, see below). The event is organised by the IDE Alumnus Society, and is open for anyone who is interested in experience-driven design. The seminar concludes with a network reception.
